KWNEL was launched in December 2020 to support the wellbeing and resilience of the 76,000 health and social care staff in North East London, in response to the unprecedented pressures of the Covid19 pandemic.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought considerable challenges and stresses to health and care professionals in all health and social care settings. Working longer hours in hospitals, community and care homes, seeing friends and colleagues become unwell, being redeployed or asked to work in unfamiliar areas may have impacted your stress, anxiety or mood.

The KeepingWellNEL Wellbeing and Resilience Hub service is here to provide a confidential listening ear over live chat call or video.

We are able to identify those with urgent needs and will support you with confidential fast-tracking to existing NHS Mental Health Services, or signposting to the most appropriate service.

We can offer a quick 360 degrees wellbeing needs review and live emotional wellbeing screening support to all and any health and social care professionals working in NEL.

Staff groups we are able to support:
  • Anyone employed by the NHS in acute, community and mental health Trusts;
  • Anyone sub-contracted to do NHS work;
  • All adult social care staff (regardless of which organisation in NEL employs you) including care workers (in residential homes, home care, supported living, day care, community support, reablement etc) social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, support and ancillary staff;
  • Carers/ personal assistants who are paid directly by the person needing support via personal health or care budgets;
  • Primary care staff and dental staff;
  • London Ambulance Service staff;
  • Volunteers working within the NHS and social care
